The Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival is a two-day spectacular event that brings sports, multicultural entertainment and international flavors to the City of Toronto Canada. Pierre Laurent was proud to sponsor the Toronto Police Dragon Boat Race Team. The team represented the No.1 police service in Canada, and had a respectable 3rd place showing in Group D.

With approximately 200 teams with over 6,000 paddlers competing in over 100 races in two days. Athletes of different backgrounds from all over the world take part in the ancient Chinese tradition and friendly competition.

It’s was a fun-filled weekend enriched by a series of multi-cultural performances, featuring traditional dances and music from a number of ethnic communities, including Chinese, South Asians, Eastern Europeans and South Americans. These performances along with Pierre Laurent Swiss made timepieces reflect Toronto’s diversity and complement the city’s cultural mosaic.

The evening featured the announcement of the agency's most recent model search winner. Taylor McKay, 15-year-old. She was chosen out of more than 3,000 entries, based on her fantastic personality and her great sense of maturity. According to Sutherland’s Daisy Chung, “has a perfect body, standing 5’8”, legs that go on forever and a smile that lights up the room."

Part of Taylor's prize package was a $3,500 Pierre Laurent watch from the award winning Cadrage Collection.
